Hi, my name is Isabel

My journey into birth work was shaped by my own two very different birth experiences.

I became a mother for the first time in 2023 in a hospital setting, after a long and intense labor that lasted over forty hours. Along the way, I experienced nearly every medical intervention available: synthetic oxytocin, an epidural, forceps and vacuum assistance. After birth, my baby boy spent the first night in the NICU. While I am deeply grateful for modern medicine and the care we received, that birth also taught me how vulnerable a mother can feel, how easily connection and trust can be disrupted, and how important it is to feel truly supported and heard.

My second birth, two and a half years later, was a completely different experience. I gave birth at home, guided by a midwife, in an atmosphere of calm and trust. Labor was fast, just three hours from start to finish. I used water for comfort, listened closely to my body, and caught my baby girl as she was born. It was powerful, instinctive, and deeply transformative. That birth showed me what is possible when a woman feels safe, supported, and free to follow her own rhythm.

Having experienced both ends of the birth spectrum, I carry a deep respect for every path to birth. There is no single “right” way, only what is right for you and your baby. My work as a doula is rooted in walking alongside mothers with compassion, presence, and trust, helping them feel informed, empowered, and supported, no matter where or how they choose to give birth.
